Ebany and .....cheeser?

That's right, black (or burnt) grilled cheese sandwich always seems to happen to my first one, the test one. Do you have that problem? I need to be patient. I need to turn the heat down but I just get so excited to eat it and it seems like a fast and easy meal. I LOVE them at Crown Burger. They always get it right but maybe by the time I order one, it's later in the day and they have already burnt a few? Yes, I know, you can scrape them off in the sink and then try to pretend that you didn't really burn it but it's never the same.IT has that "burnt"aora about it, you know? It's just better to throw it out and start over! Turn the heat down and do it right. Take it slow, enjoy the anticipation, enjoy the smell of toasting buttered bread and melting cheese. Become the cheese. (OK, maybe that last one is over the top.) So, really in the end, it takes twice as long to fix but the wait is worth it! I remember making them for my kids and saying,"ahhh, this is the best one I have ever made and it's just for you!" They probably don't remember, but I do .
Hmmm, I miss making grilled cheesers for my kids.

Feel free to make me a grilled cheese any day :o) It always tastes better when you make it - maybe because you give us the best one you've ever made.

That's funny, Laci - me too! You know it's love when you give them the best bites. That actually makes me think of dad giving mom the best bite or best cut of roast or steak or something. See what good examples our parents are?!
