Yesterday I was dripping out of my eyes so I ran and got a Kleenex.
Then, drip drip drip again but this time out of my nose so I ran and got another Kleenex but since I'm old, and my knees still hurt, I decided just to bring the whole box.
I needed it.
No, I don't have a cold.
I am going through 1400 pictures (at least) of my family looking for photos of my parents for their 50Th anniversary. I must have 20 albums and tons of photos not yet organized that I thought I did but no, so this has been a daunting task.
Here is a sample.

Don't ask me how I got this photo? Who knows but it was in with my pictures. I am like 4-5. It must be around 1965, Christmas Dinner at Grandma's house in Oakley and I am in the little red dress on the left side in the front. Mom is holding Gary on her lap, Greg is pulling a face next to me and Dad is taking the picture. My Great Grandma Lefler is looking down at me in the back. Then it's grandpa Jack, grandma Twila, Uncle Marvin who are all gone. Aunt Janice, Aunt Ranee and Uncle Carmen are all still around. The rest are my cousins Rod, Brent and Dan (A. Janice'e boys) and Julie, Mark and Lisa, Aunt Ranee's kids. A. Ranee's kids are the only ones who kept in formation. Greg moved over to pull a face and pushed Brent back and Rod to the side.Dan and Lisa think he's funny. Apparently, I thought he was stupid. I should have started doing this 2 years ago. Where does the time fly?
Having done this project for a month now, I thought I was ammuned to dripping by now. Those 3am and 4am nights are hard on my old body. But, of course after seeing my life progress so quickly - only 8 hours yesterday- added to all of the sleepless nights before scanning and finding and scanning some more pictures- that is, my life, my husband's life, all of my children grow from babies to adults, my parents from young spring chicks to silver and white haired grandparents and all forgotten pictures of dear old friends and siblings and grandparents and family members long gone, it just, oh, my, it just makes me teary eyed just talking about it!!!!
If you have parent's
- dead or alive-
make it a wonderful life for them (and for you) by telling them THANK YOU through your actions.
I hope my parent's will know how grateful I am to them by the things I do for them and by the way I live my life.

yikes.
Bikes!
That is so cool! I would love to see all those pictures. It's bittersweet going though that stuff - there's a reason it takes hours and hours, cuz you look at everything and remember and get drippy. You are awesome for putting so much work into it. Wish I could be there to help - it would be fun! I FINALLY finished mine and now can start on Erik's and the kids. Good times, noodle salad.
PS - Laci, you're totally rufus
