Random Days, Random Nights, Random Pictures that fill our lives!

Layton is still playing the role of President of the Layton Rotary Club and as such introduced Kyle Whittingham, (coach of the Utah Utes for the sports impaired) to the club luncheon a few days ago. Brett met us in Bountiful to hear the coach speak since Brett is really the only true RED fan in a family of BLUE fans.... It was a fun luncheon. Sara and the other officers met until midnight last night planning the closing assembly for the Senior Class! These 4 (and 1 other missing officer) are the 5 people in charge of the whole graduation for 850 seniors. You go guys!
I met up with Cindy (aka Cynthia) for our "annual" luncheon at the Chicken Inn in Morgan today. We always eat and laugh and cry and talk for hours. Well, 5 hours that is! It's a good thing the place was quiet today because we just got caught up on all of our lives for the past several months! I just love this lady to pieces! We have been bestest of friends since 1976 when there were no cel phones or computers and back then we actually had to talk to friends in person! We lived across the street from each other in good ole WYO, we were in the same ward, cheered together, had our kids around the same times and basically read each others minds, burst out laughing and not have to explain anything to anyone....ever.....We can go for months and months and then we can pick up right where we left off and never miss a beat, only coming up for air when absolutely necessary! As I have grown old...er.... I have found that this is a rare thing. We usually are blessed to have but a few people that we run into in our lives that truly are "treasured friends". People who you can trust and never judge or be judged but who will always be there for you through the thick and the thin!
After 47 years, and all of the places we have lived, I have found only 5. Cynthia (whose name is really Cindy) is one of them.
"To the left rut tut"I love ya too pieces! Thanks is never adequate enough!
If I had 1 wish for anyone, it would be that they can experience that kind of a friendship in their lives. It's never something you can force or expect. It just happens. Always be on the look out for it and then treasure it forever if you find it! It will fill your life!
Have you found it yet?

ok, first off, Sara's face is SO funny in that picture! Its your typical " MOM, I am a senior and WAY too cool to have my picture taken and I'm SO OVER HIGH SCHOOL" face. :o) gotta feel for the girl, but I'm glad you took it!

And secondly... Do moms and sisters count as bestest friends?! I hope so because ya'll are my top 3!

I love that you and Cindy are so close! And I love how you start to talk like each other when you're around each other. And I love that you had babies at the same time... so cute. And I love that you have such a good heart and can keep close relationships so easily because everyone that meets you loves you to pieces!!

Including me!!
